C2 1963 front bumper brackets.

My car has one bracket 3/16" thick and the other is 1/4" thick. Which thickness is correct for my car?

I just measured the bumper brackets on my '65. Assuming that they are the same as the '63, they measure 3/16 inch thick (all four are the same).

Jerry, I would get a copy of the 1963 judging manual and most of your guestions could be answered. However they should be 1/4 in. Bill

Bill's advice to get the JG is good. This is the best $30 I've ever spent. Your bumper bracket question is covered therein and 1/4" is correct for 63s. In 64 they went to 3/16th thick.

Thanks for the information. I did notice the 1/4" in the manual, but still was not certain. Now, there is no question.
