    Holley 3370 with 5B1 date code o.k. for #112652?

My 66 roadster's serial number is 112652, which means it was an early February 1966 car. The car did not come with the original Holley 3370, but I may be able to get my hands on a 3370 with the date code 5B1 (which is December 65, first week) the carb even has the correct metering block on it (4796)!

Is the date difference between the carb and the car serial number o.k.? Early December to early February is about 8 weeks. Didn't see anything in the Judging Guide. Opinions would be appreciated. Why are the 3370's so hard to locate?

    Thanks.

    Jack,
I looked for a #3370 for over two years and could not find any correct for
my car. I ended up buying one of the last ones Holly nade with a servuce date. I am not a judge but I would say the date is very good for your car. I know what carb you are referring to. $800.-1000. is the going price restored.Be prepared to pay. They are hard to find because I was told the only application they were used for was the 1966 427/390. They were not used on any other GM car.
I have called all the Carb people all over the US and everyone said they never get them anymore. If you need one for Top Flight that carb will work.

          Jerry-----

You've been told correctly. The Holley 3370 was used only on 1966 Corvettes with L-36. It was also known as GM #3882835.
