    C3 Wiper Motor Removal

I have been having a problem removing the wiper motor from my '72. It seemed fairly simple at first, remove approx. 3 small bolts securing the motor to the firewall. Next, remove cowl cover (just forward of the wiper door), to access the linkage connecting the motor to the wipers. Then, just disconnect the motor from the linkage and it's out, right? Wrong. For all of the effort put forth, I could not get the motor to let loose of the linkage. I pulled, pried, you name it! Is there something I am missing here? Some special way in which the linkage is attached?

Feeling like I'm back in high school Auto Mechanics 101,

Nope - the linkage is just a slip fit onto a shaft that has a flat on it. I'll venture a guess that your s has slipped on the shaft and wedged together. Normally, it is just a loose fit.

Well it's off! Thx Mike. I finally had to take a hammer and screwdriver to it, to free the linkage from the motor shaft...but it came off.
