C3 Removal of Air Vent "Balls"

Ok...this may seem like a "simpleton" question, but what is the proper way for removing the air vent "balls" from your C3 dash?

Kevin On the back side of the dash pad their are screws to remove that hold a bracket that holds the vent ball to the back of the pad. Lyle

Here's an old "indian trick". Just grab the from the front and pull them out. They will "pop" out. You can then pop the new ones in. Saves a LOT of disassembly time. Try it...it works. Chuck

        That's amazing.

I removed the dash panel from the passenger side, and was delaying the driver's side because of all the work involved.

        Thanks!

Chuck and Richard, I found that by first moving the ball so that it is pointing directly straight ahead (out of the dash), then turning the ball 90 degrees to either the left or right, so that you are now looking at the "side" of the ball, the ball comes out much more easily. Thx for the tip.
