    C1-What's this wire?

There is a black with white stripe wire that comes out of the main harness on my 62. Currently it is wrapped around the harness that runs down the inside of the left fender and is not connected to anything. I have determined it is a ground, but I don't know what for. Having read through the JG,I notice a wire as described should be attached to the top rear screw on the left valve cover. Currently what appears to be a ground for the electronic ignition conversion is attached there. Is there any reason that two grounds cannot be attached under the same screw?

It is the ground you describe, there is also one on the right side that comes out of the harness that feeds the ballast resistor and temp sender, this screw (to the valve cover) has a second ground wire on it from the wiper motor: soooo... two grounds from the same screw should be o.k.

In addition I believe there is a ground wire from the radio to the passenger valve cover.
