Re: Maroon/Maroon rarity???
Factory production records are NOT good at addressing compound probability questions (how many of this, with that option, this exterior color, and that interior configuration). I don't think anyone can answer the question you pose because there are no underlying records to support the answer.
I can tell you the maroon/maroon combination IS resonably rare which is why Paragon was VERY slow to create/offer maroon reproduction trim pieces for '65 cars. I can also speculate that early forms of this color combo car (regardless of coupe vs. convertible) may defy restoration logic. We have a late Nov/early Dec built maroon/maroon 365 HP convertible in our club. The original seat backs and a handful (seemingly at random) interior components were standard red vs. maroon.... This suggests St. Louis was slow to bring on maroon plastic trim components and shipped some cars with 'close' color match components early in the model year.- Top

Not a popular combo in those days...
The shop where I work in the summer has a 1967 Mustang -the first year for which such records survive- which is Vintage Burgundy with a (dark) red interior. There were only a few hundred Mustangs made with this combo, an extraodinarily low number considering how many Mustangs were built that year. Just guessing, I would hazard there were only a few dozen such Corvettes.- Top

Re: Maroon/Maroon rarity???
Dick,
Jack is correct that you will not be able to get an exact answer to your question. However, in Volume One of the 1953-1967 NCRS Spec Guide it documents that in 1965, there were 2,831 Milano Maroon units. It is not broken down between coupes and convertibles.
The same guide also documents that in '65 there were 8,186 coupes and 15,376 convertibles. The spec guide give us no information about how many units had maroon interiors.
Hope this helps.

Re: At least 3
Thanks to everyone on my question. I have an old photo of my car with a black top. Has anyone seen a maroon car with a saddle top. Did it look better than the black top? I did years ago and it looked good. Someday I will have to decide Black or Saddle?? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!- Top

Re: Convertible top
Dick,
By saddle, I assume that you mean beige. In my mind, beige is a lighter color than saddle. Why do I bring this up? In the NCRS Spec. Guide, it states that convertible top colors are: black, white or beige with any exterior color.
You may want to consider good old white. My Glen Green '65 has a white top with white interior and it looks pretty good.
Best regards,
