    1975 A/C charging hook-up

I am charging the a/c on my '75 and need to know where to hook up the the high pressure hose of the a/c gauge manifold set. The low side hose hooks to the schrader valve at the back of the compressor, but I have found two possibilities for the high side. There is a schrader valve mounted on the liquid line at the top of the right hand fender skirt, next to the sight glass. There is another schrader valve on the VIR assembly below the evaporator case. Does the high side hook to one of these two or is there another valve someplace else that I haven't found yet? Also, what is the the proper air gap or clearance for the compressor clutch plate to the pulley? Any help is appreciated.

My 74 sounds like your 75.....I hook the high side connection at that sight glass block Schraeder valve and it works just fine....Craig

Craig, thanks for the onfo. Yes, I think a '74 probably is the same set-up and will follow your advice on hook-up.
