'68 Sunvisors

Having received '69 sunvisor hardware kit from a corvette parts supplier for my '68 conv., my question is if it is possible to use the parts. I also ordered new sunvisors, and they should be correct for '68. It looks like it should be possible to use the hw kit with the sunvisors, but will it mount correctly to the windshield frame?

The 1968 Corvette sunvisor hardware was unique to that year and different than the 69+ style. I don't believe that the 69 style hardware will fit on a 68. The 68 sunvisor hardware has been GM-discontinued for MANY years. For many years it was totally unavailable, except used. However, I now think that it is reproduced and available from sources like Dr. Rebuild, Paragon, and others.

Addendum

By the way, the 68 sunvisor pivots are easily discerned from the 69+. The 68 are much thinner, more "delicate" looking, and have a somewhat different configuration (although the same GENERAL configuration).
