    C3 Vacuum advance 1968

Removed my distributor to check out the tach drive damage. After removing the distributor shaft I laid the distributor down with the original vacuum advance can's vacuum connection nipple facing down. Later I noticed that oil had drained out of the vacuum advance from the nipple. Anyone experience this before?

    Jim,
No, where do you have your vacuum hose pluged into?
Also do you have a lot of oil in the air cleaner?
Will the diaphram move with a vacuum source applied?

The vacuum line is connected to full vacuum port on the Holley spread bore carb that I put on the car in 1973. I have never had any oil in the air cleaner. The vacuum advance checked out ok with engine vacuum and a vacuum tester.
