    Paint Finish

The paint on my 63 is about 3 years old. I noticed that the flat surfaces, as well as any surfaces in the top half of the sides has a very distictive rough feel, as if you were running your hand over the smoothest sandpaper. The surfaces below the midline, such as the lower doors and below the bumpers has the smooth as glass feel. The paint looks fine. It seems as the surfaces exposed to the elements -sun and trees- has the rough texture. I tried the wash and cheap wax route for a fix. Suggestions? Thanks Again

It sounds like it is overspray . buy some wax with a cleaner or light rubbing compound .3M Imperial hand glaze # 05990 works very good for removing light overspray & scratches...Bill

If you use the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze be very careful which one use choose. They are NOT all alike. My $.02
