    67 L-79 ignition parts

I have purchase ignition parts for my stock 67 L-79 327/350 4 sp. I wanted to confirm that I purchased the right ones. SWC Duke was kind enough to give my NAPA/Echlin numbers but I was not successful in converting them. OK here they are:

Points: GM 12338659, AC DELCO D106P
Condenser: GM 12338665, AC DELCO D204
    Vacuum Advance: STANDARD VC-24A
    Plugs: AC DELCO R45S

    I appreciate any help/comments.

    Re: 67 L-79 ignition parts

The Delco D106P points are the standard 19-23 oz. breaker arm tension. I recommend the high breaker arm tension points (28-32 oz.) for engines with redlines over 5500. Delco used to offer these (D112P), but they are no longer available. The numbers I listed previously were for the high tension points from other vendors.

VC-24A is a NAPA/Echlin part number, but is NOT the proper vacuum advance control for a L-79. The correct NAPA/Echlin number for the original Delco "236" can, which is no longer available is VC-1810. Specs are 0@4",16(crankshaft)@8" and it is stamped "B28" on the mounting bracket. The original Delco can was stamped "236 16".
