Inner Qtr panel trim - padding

In restoring my '70 coupe, I discover the interior quarter panel trim (covers the shoulder seat belt reel) has a rectangular edge that fits around the round fender well. It appears there should be some sort of pad or block under the carpet at that point to form it to the trim.

Since I tore the interior out a couple of years ago, I can't remember if there is such a part and I can't find it in any catalogs. Can anyone help?

Also, I'm trying to find a 5-port windshield washer pump. Ideas?

Paul, the catalogs can be helpful sometimes, but don't depend on them to have anywhere close to all the required parts. The best reference for these types of questions is the AIM.

There is jute padding on the top and sides of the wheelwell, which may help to form the carpet to the retractor trim. I don't remember anything more. The retractor and trim cover is on the top of the wheel well which is pretty flat. Incidently, the AIM also doesn't identify the jute specifically, probably because it was supplied as an integral part of the rear compartment carpet.
