I need a oil pan for my 1970 350 4spd. Vette. My local dealer informed me they are no longer available. Any used ones I have come across where less then desirable. The after market ones I have seen also looked a little weak. Although I do not show the car,I would like a good quality pan that looks stock and uses the stock pickup, etc. But I would perfer NOS. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would apreciate it. Rich

You're asking the same question as MANY other 63-74 Corvette small block owners needing an oil pan. If you wish to retain the stock oil pick-up screen and stock upper dipstick tube and dipstick, then you're limited to the original 63-74 Corvette oil pans or their 1975-era SERVICE replacements. All are discontinued and difficult to locate. No other Chevrolet oil pan will meet your criteria of looking like stock AND using the stock related parts.
Three options that I see:
1) Continue looking for a good, used oil pan. They show up on eBay fairly frequently and sell for about $150-250;
2) Look for an NOS GM #3820000 or a GM #360866. They also show up on eBay from time-to-time. Expect to pay $300-500;
3) If you can, wait for Paragon's reproduction to be released to the market.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
