    C2 Horns need Help

I have just completed rebuilding my original 1965 horns and they look great. Problem is neither one works. When I took them out one worked and the other one did not. I have checked and am getting 12 or 13 volts to each horn, when I hit the switch all I here is a small click/buzz which may be the relay, I am not sure. Can someone help me with a test procedure to isolate the problem? The book says check the amps at the horn but I am not sure how to connect the ampmeter. Also my small meter talks millamps, and the book says amps? My electrical skills are not high as you can see.
I did check the coils when I had the units apart, I got continuity with points closed and open when points open. I have tried a wide range of adjustments on each horn, and get no change in operation. Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you,

    George

There's a true art to restoring horns. Might not be anything electrical. It might be that the "tuning" of the diaphragms is incorrect. It's like tuning a snare drum. Also, there are different diaphragms for both the high and low notes. EMail me offline, and I'll put you in touch with one of my friends who has a retirement business restoring horns. Chuck
