Re: anyone recommend docrebuild for parts?
Since owner/founder, Geoffrey often attends this discussion board, I'd say the answer is a definite and positive "Yes". Gotta admit, I've recommended that source frequently.... But, bear in mind, there is no ONE source that has all the 'right' stuff. So, it often boils down to what the specific 'widget' is you're in need of.- Top

Most of their stuff is OK, but as Jack said bear in mind it make not meet of look like the original. This problem is not unique to Dr. Rebuild it is an inherent problem with any replacement or repro items. Also be prepared to pay more than the prices in their catalog the are generally higher when you place an order.- Top

Doc's quality is as good or better than most. His pricing is competitive.
As he requires and CLEARLY states in his catalog; Use the toll free line ONLY when you have P/Ns
I avoid any potential problems by always calling on my dime.

Yes...
As others have stated, not every supplier has everything. I have ordered a dozen or so small items, most were perfect. They were the only source I could find for C1 fuel filler overflow hose (my original suffered dryrot) and their replacement was exact- if it wasn't soft and new you'd think it was NOS.- Top

One other thing: "sprinkled" throughout Dr. Rebuild's catalog are many NOS items. You won't find most of these from other suppliers. In many cases, Dr. Rebuild gives you a choice between reproduction and NOS. See if you find that in any other catalog from any other supplier.
Also, Dr. Rebuild reproduces many of the smaller, low profit items which other reproduction manufacturers don't want to bother with. These items are just as important to a restoration as the high-buck pieces, though. Not only does he reproduce these smaller items, but they are usually perfect. Many other suppliers, if they carry these items, at all, either get them from him or sell inferior-quality, otherwise-sourced pieces. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
