I am new to this hobby and have some questions regarding the Hershey event. As a NCRS member I'm assuming I can go to this event just to observe the cars and get some ideas for preserving my vette. I did not register for this as I am not getting my car judged - is this OK? If it's a nice day I would like to drive my 58 to Hershey. Is there a "safe" place to park as opposed to a 30 acre parking lot? Can I bring a non-NCRS friend along? Thanks for entertaining these goofy questions but I don't want to drive 90 minutes to be suprised/disappointed. Ken

Re: NCRS Hershey
There was some discussion on this not to long ago, mayby last month. Anyway from what I remember, you as a NCRS member can attend only one day. Don't know about your friend not being a NCRS member. I know nothing about the parking situation.- Top

Re: NCRS Hershey
As a member you (and friend) can purchase a one day admission to the car display. You can not participate in any event (seminar, etc.). If you come more than one day, members are expected to register. I think it is a fair policy. Don H.- Top

Re: NCRS Hershey
If you are as close as it appears your are, it would be unfortunate not to have spent more time if indeed you seek some preservation tips. One learns by spending quality time with those who have been doing this for years.
You may never have a better opportunity to have access to so much talent on solid axle expertise and it would be unfortunate not to tap it fully. If you seek recommendations, I would suggest you sign up and request to be an observer judge. In that role, you will most likely "listen, observe and hold the clipboard" while the two-team judging team pour over the car. This is where you learn and you may find...this is where you need to be to learn those preservation tips.
Good luck and hope you enjoy your time at Hershey!Tom Russo

Re: NCRS Hershey
If you are that close, it would be a great chance to meet the people and learn about the cars. (I wish I didn't have to drive over 500 miles.) You can register at the door although it will cost more than pre-registration. That also allows you to park your Corvette in a secure area. If you are really serious about getting involved, it would be worth it. Otherwise, all you can do is walk around the showfield for one day.- Top
