    68 327/350 Radiator Cap

Would a 16 lb. cap be OK to use in place of the 15lb. stock cap?

My car came with a 16lb. cap, but it seems the spring has gone weak and it leaks out coolant from the vent tube.

I fill the expansion/fill tank 1/2 way as recommended.

What would be the consequences of running 1 lb. higher on the cap if I did?

Thanks in advance for any advice,

    Rich

Not much difference. The pressure held inside by the cap ups the boiling point of the coolent. I would have your cap tested to see what the pressure really is.
