I wouldn't change a thing. If you made it into college without ever working on cars as a hobby and now only want to get into it because you think it'll look good on your resume, you sound like just the type of guy most of Detroit is looking for, particularly, as executive material.
The most I'd do, if I were you, is put a killer stereo in my Accord. But if you insist on building an L-88 up from parts I dont' have a frame or engine for you but I can supply the correct radio...
