C2 Side Exhaust Cover Insulator Dilema

I need to replace the side exhaust insulators on one side (short piece is missing, long piece is cracked). The ones on the other side have some of the blackout missing (as seen thru the cover slots) but are still securely attached. Since I am replacing one side I want to replace the other side so they look the same. I need to know a couple things:

    1) - What type of adhesive was used? or should I use?
    2) - How do I get the one side insulators off that are still attached?

    Thanks,
    Jace Holt

PS - These are original side exhaust covers and insulators.

The original insulators should pop off from original adhesive bond with carefull pulling and lifting away from the aluminum cover. Be careful not to use sharp instruments which may damage the aluminum. I found J-B Weld adhesive (available at local hardware or call 800 529 3530)an excellent two part epoxy bond suitable for up to 600 degrees. I used this material with excellent results.
