'64 Interior

I am (finally) ready to paint the radio speaker grill and the radio side panels on my '64 convertible. It has a dark blue interior. Outfits like Corvette Central sell interior "lacquer paint" and interior "vinyl dye." Which one should I use for the best results? Most places only carry the dye. Thanks.

Mark, The metal and fiber glass pieces should be painted with a semi flatened lacquer. The stuff you are talking about buying in a spray can may not match your present interior. I would suggest taking an interior piece and get it electronic optically color matched at a good paint supplier. Many of these suppliers have the ability to put your custom blend in a spray can. This would be an option if ya don't have a compressor and spray gun.
