I am going to dye the dash pad cover on my '56......anything I should look out for or surprises to expect? Thanks.

Start out by cleaning it real well. Biggest problem I have run into with the vinyl dyes is getting the gloss to match.

      Steve,

If you want the car to look good and show a little, go for a new pad from Al Knoch. Easy to install (hardest part is removing the windshield)

Why would you Dye instead of replace? *NM*

I have a new correct dash pad cover still in the box. I am driving it this year and not starting the paint, chrome, interior til this winter. Thought I'd just dye it quickly and live with it til this winter.....Just a thought.
