I'm getting a few different answers to my question RE: 64 big brake, big tank cars. I have spoken with the owner of a 64 car (Kevin Suydam), and was told that these cars were made mid to late in the model year, saw pictures of his car and it has a #380 fuel unit on it, also saw pictures of another with the same type unit. I know ALL the parts could be ordered seperatly, (tank,brakes,F-40,suspension). Question #1 has anyone ever seen a J-56 car with a #375R fuel unit on it? if so what ser. # Question #2 does anyone know when the first J-56 cars were produced? There is a J-56 car for sale but it looks like it has a #375 unit??? Thanks

Re: 1964 J-56 Big Brake Cars
Being as how J-56 was just the unbundled Z-06 HD brake package carried over from 1963, there's no reason why it would not have been available at the start of the model year, but only 29 were produced, and I doubt if the orders were evenly distributed through the year. Same logic would apply to N-03 and F-40
