Steve -- There's that book on St. Louis (the name escapes me) that might be available through the NCRS bookstore. I doubt that the photos would be in the 1973 timeframe, though. As you know, cameras were forbidden (dang) on public plant tours. After my 1973 plant tour, I shot a few through the fence with a tele lens, showing '73s waiting shipment. I could send you prints, if you'd like.

Steve (and others) As there's been a few requests, I'll have do dig out the original color slides and evaluate my options. Optimally, I'd like to get 500KB jpegs on compact disc to transmit to those requesting, although not known if this is possible direct from slides.

I must confess to maybe having only one '73 shot (brain fart -- hey, it was 30 years ago) and was confusing with my trip to St. Louis in '72, when I took shots of the new cars on an auto carrier east of the plant.

The one in '73, which I made a print of, shows a red coupe w/whitewalls, and another silver one (nose only visible). In the background is a yellow coupe at the corner of rows of others, but you can barely make them out, as they weren't too close to the fence. Snake 488 could probably identify what the buildings are in the photo.

                    Anyway, I'll keep you advised.

                      Wayne,
My scanner (CanoScan D660U) does slides and negatives at 2400++ dpi (exact resolution escapes me at the moment). After the initial scan, one must utilize some photo software to reduce the resolution. If the subjects of interest compose a small portion of the overall photo, cropping will definitely reduce the jpeg bites, but some trial and error is necessary. Hope this helps.
