    1969 L46 Oil Pan

Is there a difference in oil pans for an L46 with power steering and a car without power steering? How readily available are pans for ps cars?

    Re: 1969 L46 Oil Pan

    Bob------

For 1969, all Corvette small block oil pans are the same regardless of engine or whether or not equipped with power steering. The original pan, GM #3820000, and its SERVICE replacement since 1976, GM #360866 (same as original except for slightly larger front oil pan seal radius to use 75+ style gaskets) are GM-discontinued. They are both VERY difficult to locate in NOS form and a reproduction is not yet available (although I understand that one is in the works). You may be able to find one used, but that's about the only option now. When they appear for sale, they usually sell for $150+ on eBay.
