I'm getting ready to drop the body back on my July 65 Convertable. I went back into my documentation when I took it apart and it looks like there were aluminum spacers on the #1 mounts only. The spacer kit I recieved had only rubber bushings. I would guess it's a 63 kit. Anyway, is the #1 the only place the Aluminum spacer was used on the 65 body mounts? Jerry

Re: Aluminum Body Mount Spacers
Gotta disagree in part. True about #2, but for 64-67 #1 differs in that coupes used rubber ducky #3842913 while convertibles used aluminum spacer #3842911. I have heard this was an attempt to stabilize the cowl on the open car, while the coupe had a more ridgid birdcage. Don't know that as fact, but it makes sense. I'm no '63 expert, but I believe they were all rubber all the time with no aluminum.
