C2 ('66) Rear Body Mount Access Plate Finish

Are they painted the same semigloss black as the frame, or another shade of black?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Mike,
If you are talking about the small access plates in the front of the rear wheel wells (there actually is a body mount further back than that one), the small cover plate should be semi-gloss black. It is unlikely that it was the same exact shade of black as the frame. There are a lot of different shades of "semi-gloss" black on the car, as the parts came from different suppliers.

      Larry ---

Yes, those were the plates I referred to.

      Thanks for the help.

Mike, there is some confusion if the plates were installed after or before the blackout process. I believe they were there or there would be blackout on the body mount bolts etc. Don't see blackout there!

I believe they were installed after the blackout process, as they went on after body drop, and at that point, the tires were in the way of doing the wheel well blackout.

Yes, and the screws that hold them on are unpainted.
