While detailing the car this past weekend,I noticed about a six inch crack in the right front fender inner skirt. It is just to the right of the right horn, and runs parallel to the grille. It looks like it may have been repaired before. Is there any repair that can be made without replacing the entire skirt. I would like to get in there and epoxy it,but can't figure out how to hold it together while a repair sets up.

I also had damage to the right front inner fender skirt that occured when the previous owner had a minor mishap with a curb. I attempted twice to make a repair and both times, the result was unsatisfactory. I went for the new inner fender skirt from Ecklers and it was a done deal. My car is not Top Flight, although it catches a lot of looks, so originally was not the issue.
I am sure that others will have solutions as to effectuating a repair that would not harm any judging concerns you might have.

I put the car up on jackstands. removed the tire, disconnected the upper control arm and dropped the spindle, etc. out of the way. My inner skirt was also split away from the point where it attaches to the upper hood surround. I then split apart the seams, front and rear, and removed the skirt. I took a lot of time cleaning the fiberglass where the old seams had been. I got the new seam sealer from the local Chevrolet agency I deal with and the inner skirt from Ecklers. Prepped the edges of the new skirt, fitted it in place before adding the sealer.
I then made up some wedges and braces to hold the skirt in place while the sealer cured. Also used some long nosed welding type vise grips. Once all was in place, I let it sit for a couple days before removing the braces, etc. It turned out great and really was a weekend job.
Hope this description helps. It was a job I would do again if I had to.
