    C1 Shock Absorber Rebuild

Still looking for any help on shops that rebuild Delco shocks. Talked to several shops that rebuild lever type shocks. Best advice yet is a company that drills a small hole in the tube, pumps in motorcycle fork oil and plugs the hole. May have a line on someone that actually will open the tube, put new seals and reweld the top. This issue apparently is welding the top back on will heat damage the new internal seals.

Best advice is if you're going to drive the car - don't even consider rebuilding the shocks. It's just a bad idea. Why would you fight one of these cars down the road with sub-standard shocks? If you're going to show the car - clean the shocks up, paint them and don't worry about it. Good luck Steve
