67 bolt on wheel screw driver

I recently found a beautiful original jack and handle for my 67 roadster. As a matter of fact it came out of a 67 big block built a month before mine. I have repro bolt on wheels on the car and would like to find either an original or repro red wooden handle screw driver that goes with the jack. That seems to be harder to find then hens teeth. Anyone know of a source?

A known repro recently went for 435.00 on E-Bay. An original may go for more that the car itself. Save your pennies.

Chicago Corvette lists their PN B9436 as 'OEM/Correct' at $69.96 and, if memory serves, the screw driver used to be a perenial listing in the Long Island catalog....

Long Island Corvette Supply no longer has them. LICS told me some time back that the original tooling had been destroyed. Jim Weeks Member #2978

seem to recall paying Long Island corvette about 20 bucks for the repro in the late 80's. Not any exceptionally unusual tool, suggest you borrow an orig or repro from member nearby and making it youself. some things that sell on ebay require a license to steal. good luck mike

Every time I wander into a "Mom-and-Pop" hardware store, I look for cheapie fluted wood-handled screwdrivers to try and "create" one for my car too; they used to be everywhere, but not any more. I found several websites for Chinese screwdriver factories that make an almost exact duplicate (less the "Irwin Tool Co." imprint), but didn't feel like buying a shipping container full of them

The screwdriver is a pretty useless tool for removing the caps anyway, and for one or two points, the "points-per-buck" equation doesn't make sense. A hook-bill seal puller pops them off with no problem, and with no wheel paint damage.
