    C-2 gear ratio

    I just checked the rear end on my 63 and was wondering what the gear ratio was based on the letters CJ. I realize it may have been changed and I will spin the wheel and count rotations, however I would like to know if the current rear is original to the car. This info was posted some time ago but my search of the archives was not going well.

      The CJ code is for a 3.08 Posi. rear with a manual transmission. There should also be a date code on the unit, check that also to see if pre-dates the car build date.
