Hi. Just bought a 1970 Corvette with a 350/300 Engine. It had a special type coil on it and I want to put a normal coil back in it. Looked at all my manuals but I can't figure out how the coil is held in place on the engine. ANy chance someone could take a digital photo close-up of the coil mounted to the block? Really appreciate all the great help in this group.

Re: C3 Coil Question
Don-----
The 1968-72 manifold-mounted coil bracket, GM #1970344, shown in Patrick's photos is GM discontinued. However, this same bracket was used on many other 1965-72 Chevrolets and you should be able to easily find one in a self-service salavge yard. Also, the part is reproduced and available relatively inexpensively. However, with originals so easy to come by, I'd seek one out.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
