71 interior insulation on a budget

I have a 71 and am working on the interior. I want to insulate under the carpet but do not want to spend a fortune. Any ideas?

Go to your local Lowe's or Menards (or similar) and buy the foil type insulation with the bubble wrap between it. There are also some slightly better ones with a heavier material between them that I'd use instead. Who wants to be popping bubbles every time they get in the car?

Actually, some of the Corvette resto houses sell kits pre-cut for about $50-100 depending on the vendor and the material. That isn't bad either.
