I am getting ready to do a frame-off restoration on the wife's 70 Convertible. I would like the durability of powder coating the frame, but what would the point deduction be for this? Or could I powder coat the frame and then paint over the powder coat?

Re: Advice on Painting 70 Frame.
The only thing is that paint doesn't stick to powdercoat really well. There are some powdercoaters who can 'flatten' the finish so it's a really darn close match in color and sheen to John Deere Blitz Black or Krylon semi-flat. The place it's detectable is the buildup around welds or seams where the powdercoating is thicker. That's a point call you need to make based on your personal preferences. Roy Sinor has the latest versions of the judging sheets which calls out the point distributions for the various items. ~Juliet
