I am getting ready to do a frame-off restoration on the wife's 70 Convertible. I would like the durability of powder coating the frame, but what would the point deduction be for this? Or could I powder coat the frame and then paint over the powder coat?

Re: Advice on Painting 70 Frame.
I would stick to paint. I had my 165000 mile 70 frame dipped a redi strip. lightly sanded it put a good coat of dupont vari prime self etching primer and painted it with flattened dupont imron . it wont chip away when you tighten bolts with lock washers . brake fluid ,gas etc wont hurt it.it also wont stop bolts & screws from grounding wires to the frame. and touch up is only a brush stroke away.
