Re: 1964 Coupe Doors
Thanks for the response James. I have just purchased a 1964 coupe from the original owner (Vin # 12377). It has 10,930 original miles on it. I was told by some people @ a recent Chevy-Vette Fest here in Chicago,it has the wrong doors on it. But with your information, I can rest assured it has the correct doors on it like an original car of this caliber should. Thanks again, William S. Pankiw NCRS # 16447- Top

Re: 1964 Coupe Doors
William,
It sounds like you have a very nice car. I don't know who you spoke to at the Chevy-Vette Fest, but they are incorrect in saying that your car with a VIN number under 15000 should have doors without raised pads. My info was taken from the 1963/1964 NCRS Judging Manual. I used to live in the west Chicago suburbs and was a Corvette judge at those events in the early 90's. Enjoy your '64!
