    71 Caution Label

The warning label I have for my 71 convertable top is made of paper and is glued to drivers side rear of top below window as per the judging guide. Neither the guide nor the judging sheets describe this label or how it should be attached. I have noticed C2's are stiched to the top. My label says " WARNING (in red)
    DEALER-DO NOT REMOVE (in red)
    FOR CARE OF REAR WINDOW
    AND TOP MATERIAL
    SEE BOOKLET
    "HOW TO OPERATE FOLDING TOP""
Is this correct and how should it be attached.

    Jerry,
It should be stitched. I believe all C1, C2, and C3 convertable top tags were attached the same way.

I would install the label you have under the edge of the stiching so it appears correct and as it is a replacement label it probably has other ways that the judge will know and take what ever deduction he feels is fair.Original labels on orginal tops are not seen often and a stiched label on a repo top may not be 100% correct as material or print type may be slightly different.
