emergency brake cble

Trying to replace my emergency brake cable on my 65. So far I have bought 2 through aftermarkt folks, and both are to thick at the ends. The pully bracket assembly attatched to the firewall cannot close on the end, is this just the generic GM repro piece? Anybody out there selling the correct one? Thanks, Ray

The original forward parking brake cable for 64-66 Corvettes is still available from GM under the original part number of GM #3842936. However, I would expect that this is the cable which most of the Corvette parts suppliers are selling. So, it's possible that the configuration of the cable has changed in the way that you described. I would not expect that, but it's possible.

Thanks Joe, I'll try a local Chevrolet dealer, Ray
