Never dealt with them or talked to anyone who has. They seem to be the only supplier for a fairly big item I need. They have been professional and VERY prompt with my questions, how good are they on results?

Re: Question about Tracy Performance Enterprises

In my experience, they are EXCELLENT. Dennis can be a little gruff, at times, but they are very dependable and reliable. In fact, once-upon-a-time I purchased an NOS item from them that I had been looking for for years. I never expected to find one, but they came up with it. The price was high, but VERY fair. In fact, I would have paid quite a bit more for it at the time. Turns out that I don't need it, but I'll NEVER part with it; it's among the prize items in the collection. What is it? I'll never tell!In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Question about Tracy Performance Enterprises
Mike-----
No, it's not even a part ever originally used on a C1. In fact, the part, itself, is not rare. There are hunrdeds of thousands of them out there. Finding a used example is easy. Finding an NOS example is VERY difficult. In all my travels, I've never seen an NOS example for sale either before or since I purchased this one. I've never seen an NOS example for sale on eBay.
Many folks think that this part does not wear out. But, it does wear out in a very obscure sort of way. Then, it causes all sorts of insidious problems that folks, sometimes, pull their hair out trying to figure out what the problem is.
Now, that's all the clues I'm going to give!In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Joe, you gotta get a job..........
Ed-----
No, I don't need a job. What I need to do is to get started on my numerous projects. If I did that, I'd have far less time on my hands than if I had a job.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Joe, you gotta get a job..........
joe once you retire getting started is the hard part because you always say "i can start this tomorrow". when you have a full time job you schedule your projects because of the limited time you have. that all changes once you retire. been retired 9 years and i do not know how i had time to go to work before.- Top

Re: Question about Tracy Performance Enterprises
John-----
It's called a SOLENOID VALVE and it's of GM #5638276. Those are difficult to locate NOS, but that's not the item I'm referring to here. I have many of those [none for sale], including some that I purchased prior to their GM discontinuation in May, 1997In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
