    C2 Seatbelts

In the interest of safety I was thinking of installing shoulder belts in a 63 Coupe
the car is a weekend driver. I was wondering if 66-67 belts would work. Any input on the subject would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Bill - One (actually two) of the things '66-'67 Corvettes that came with shoulder harnesses had were attaching reinforcements for the shoulder harness belts to anchor to. Some non-shoulder harness equipped '66-'67 cars had the reinforcements but that's academic to your question. Pre-'66 cars did not have the reinforcements. I don't know if anyone offers them but the best shot might be Long Island Corvette Supply. If you can get the reinforcements and can get them installed (they fit where the sun doesn't shine, by the rear wheel underbody panel) you should be able to do the installation. I think Noland Adams' book shows the location or a friend with a '66 or '67 Assembly Instruction Manual will have the info. Look in UPC A85. Good luck. Pete
