Does anyone have experience with Sachs Automotive clutch assemblies?

    John------

Yes, Sachs is a major OEM supplier to GM and other manufacturers. Many C4 clutch assemblies are manufactured by Sachs. The last available 11", 10 spline clutch disc for 66-70 Corvettes, GM #10148045, was manufactured by Sachs as was the last available 11", 26 spline disc for 71-81 Corvettes, GM #10120997. Although those parts are now GM-discontinued, the clutch discs that are currently available from Sachs for those applications are identical to the GM-part-numbered versions.

For any application in which a GM clutch component was no longer available, my next choice would be a Sachs or Luk (I believe that Sachs owns Luk, now).
