Re: Corvettes in Cuba
Terry-I saw a 55 vette in cuba in 1974 sitting in a driveway of an abandoned bungalow in a high scale residential area where locals were not allowed. The Cuban govt did not touch those areas likely for legal reasons but I do not know the situation today.I suspect there are a lot of vettes in garages of americans and cubans who left in a hurry in the late 1950`s.As a Canadian ,I was able to travel there but have not been back for several years. There must be someway to locate old records-maybe other members have some ideas?Ex patriots? Brian Coutts Member#27128.- Top

There were TWO there during Feb 24-7
1960, to participate in the Gran Premio de la Cuba, but both of the Camoradi Corvettes escaped. Seriously, if your queries - in the Miami area??? - bear any fruit, I'd appreciate a contact, as info about the only
Cuban race that Castro allowed is sketchy at best. I have heard of a Porsche racer that is buried there........- Top
