Re: C1 BATTERY
If you are just looking for a decent battery and aren't concerned about judging points almost any Group 24 battery will do. Currently I am buying Autozone batteries. They are the same as Costo and Pep Boys, just priced a bit less - all made by Johnson Controls with different labels. Just remove the stick on labels and you have a plain, black generic maintenance free battery at a low price, typically with a 65 month warranty. Keep the warranty label, but either move it to a back surface that can't be seen with the battery installed, or place it on the bottom surface of the battery.

Re: C1 BATTERY
Just for my lousey 2 cents worth. I buy the current Delco Freedom. If I have the car judged, it works pretty well. If I don't, it helps me and my car sleep better at night. Car batteries last for 5 years. Motorcycle batteries last for up to 2 years. Yeah, there are exceptions, but I don't want to deal with them.
I'm convinced there are about 2 or 3 battery manufactures left in the world, so the brand is probably of little concern. Thanks for giving me a venue to get this off my chest. Your battery will last until the warranty expires - get used to it.- Top

Re: C1 BATTERY
I really got some good years of service from a Delco 1000 Tough one in my 68 in Oct 93. Replaced it Mar 02 after about 8 1/2 years of service. Never had a battery last as long as this one did. I replaced it a Delco Professional Platinum 7 year battery model no. 75P-7YR. Both these batterys have had no problem turning over my L79 when it was hot.- Top
