Delco Voltage Regulator 1119002

I just purchased a Delco 119002 voltage regulator but I dont know if this a correct
model.The lower tab is imbossed 1119002 on one line not the two line 1119 and 002E.
It is dated 2K and has the 12VN on the upper rt. tab. Paid $32 for it and it works
so Im did I get the real deal or is this just a good replacement?

That's the way they're supposed to look. You got a deal. I'm told they're rarer than hen's teeth. The 2K means October, 1962. The 12VN means 12 volts negative ground. The 1119 and the 002E are on different lines, but on the same tab. One recently went for $100-$150 on EBay, but that's overpriced.

don i think you got a heck of a deal. some fool paid 350 for a use pig in the poke 002E 1 year ago at the florida regional then paid another 100 for john pirkle to restore it(100 to restore it wan't a bed deal as pirkle does outstanding work)mike the fool

re oo2e volt. reg. the one in my possession has 1119 on upper line and 0002e below the lll9

Real, correctly dated "002E" voltage regulators are not as scarce as real 5 1/2" wide wheels, but they are pretty close...

I just checked my original voltage regulator for my 62. There are two stamped lines in the bottom right hand corner. 1119 stamped above the 002E my date code 2C appears in the upper right hand corner below the 12V stamping.
