Frame Stencil

On a '63 the frame stencil apparently goes on the passenger side outer frame rail. It is also upside down I believe. But where should it be positioned? Was the stencil put on straight or was it common for it to have a slant?

Was it in the same position for a '67? I have a picture of a '67 stencil on the frame. It looks rougly centered top to bottom. After scanning the picture and making measurements, It appears the the stencil is 2.5" rearward of the center oval frame hole. Is this correct for '63 as well?

Is it printed only once on the frame?

You are correct on the stencil..3/4" lettering. It was on the passenger side frame upside down. The exact location probably was within an inch or so... Remember, this is a "frame marking" applied by hand...... I wouldn't get out the alignment transit for this....just use your tape measure

I have a good friend with an early 63 where the original frame stencil was forward on the frame from its normal position. On the rise of the frame ahead of the door. There was a picture of it in the Restorer 2 years ago.

I am finishing up my 65 resto and have came accross varying info regarding this stencil location. I have seen it referenced in different positions in different reference books. Some show photos of the stencil towards the rear on the passenger side rail. But I have also seen 1965 photos with it towards the front under the door hinge area of the rail. I am still trying to confirm this location.
