    C1 Rear

    Am currently setting up ring & pinion in my '62. Can't remember what I painted on ring gear years ago to check tooth contact. Red lead comes to mind but don't know where to get it. Any suggestions?

      Try white lithium grease.

          Stop by your local rear end shop, they always sell the yellow marking grease/dye. The tube I have is GM's Goodwrench number 1052351 Group 8.800. Obviously you can order it through any GM dealer too, it was just handier and in stock at the local rear end shop....Craig
