    1970 Instrument Housing Paint Color

Hi - Does anyone know of a source or the proper color match for the greenish reflective color for the 1970 instrument cluster, tachometer, and speedometer housings. I researched the archives and found a post that referenced using Krylon "Jade" satin for a mid year but that color does is not near a match for my existing finish. I inquired with a major instrument restoration service and was told that there knew the color but would not share it with me.

    Thanks

Lee, That greenish color is not a paint, it is an oxide plating. I guess that you asked ROGER about the stuff, and he told you it was a "trade secret". Don't you love how some vendors will tell you anything to help and some, like ROGER won't give you the time of day unless he's in your pocket. I asked him a question about what order to paint the black and the silver paint on a dash cluster. He said " I can't tell you, it's a trade secret". That's the last time I ever talked to him!
