My 1979 has one TVS: #14009008 for the EFE. Some emissions diagrams show a second, apparently linked between the distributor vacuum unit and vacuum at the base of the carb. Does anyone have a GM number for the latter TVS?

Re: 1979 TVSs on T-Stat Housing
Paul,
Will check in the morning for you I have that Valve in my toolbox, I had to replace the goose neck do to a crack in my original 79 L-82. I got a used one off a replacement L-82 engine I bought out of PA. The second valve is used to controll the spark on a high altitude engine, my car didn't have a second valve and this hole in the goose neck is plugged with a brass pipe plug ( as originally) it also uses the CJ emissions label. By the way this engine was only 1 week apart in manufacture from mine. This valve is still available or it was a couple of years ago. I will E-Mail you later.

Re: 1979 TVSs on T-Stat Housing
Paul,
I think the ported valve you are looking for is GM 00373510 the color is purple. It is marked as C for Carb and E for EGR I have 2 One is solid purple and the other is Black W/ a purple top. The black W/ Purple top actually says EGR while the solid purple one says E for EGR. The solid purple one has a brass threaded base and the black/purple one has a steel/shiney silver base. I have a box with GM part #'s that match the part # on the ported valve, I also have a box that is Blue and Red that says GP SORENSEN 779-1832 Switch Ported Vacume that I think came from a Cadillac Dealer it has the same Ported switch #'s on it(the Valve) as the GM box. I got all of these 4-5 Years ago. At the time the Cadillac Parts man told me that the ported switches were all color coded by color as to what temperature they would open or close Pink Part # 14009008 or purple #00373510. I would guess that the color coded hoses also would lead to the proper valves also (my assumption only).
Hope this is what you are looking for. E-Mail me if this is not what you need or if I can help.
