C2/Dip stick handle

I read the other day in the Fact Book that the dip stick handle (1967) is black So I jerked it out and was ready to go from orange to black.I got the Tech Manual out to make sure and it does not mention nether orange or black. Can we have a vote..(A)orange (B)black (C)natural Thanks

Steve,

As brian stated, the dipstick handle as well as it's tube is natural as it was attached to the block AFTER it was painted.

I have a good close up of an original showing the gap at the end of the curl and the pink plastic insert at the tip. I would post it here, but that is not possible, email me and I'll send it to you.

Depends which engine you have - SB's have a black plastic plug in the end of the handle, BB's have a pink plug; both handles are natural, and the tubes in the engine are also natural.

Thanks everyone....I now have a natural handle. And it is a BB with a pink tip.Now my wife has informed me to sweep some of the orange paint chips that somehow got on the carpet???
