Now all 46 of the 20 produced have surfaced.

      Re: 67 L89 on E bay, actually...

...there were only 16 L89. (20 L88) I haven't looked at the listing, but I know what side of the bet I'd be on. -k

The guy that buys a '67 L89 without irrefutable documentation is just buying another 435 - if that. Without documentation, the L89 or the L71 for that matter, could be just another "builder". What will the real deal bring these days - 175K? 250K?, - WITH solid proof/documentation and a known history. Even a built-up, no-document 435 will even bring close to 100K...

It's a fake - the seller bought those heads on eBay several months ago....

Talk about more corvettes then were produced when Bloomington gold gives out all those awards for cars that are made up what is one to do? Even dealer paper ,letters and old black and white pic. are reproduced.

Who makes up these stats?? I personally know of two L89's that belonged to members of the old Corvette Club of Baltimore. These were delivered new to both members. One was raced in SCCA Solo 1 by Wes Glossner and was heavily modified the other was never touched and always remained stock. I truly doubt that if only 16 were made that two would have wound up in one club! Quite frankly, GM was in the business to make money and setting up for 16 cars sounds like just so much BS. It's just like the claims for these hyper rare M22's, GM didn't set up production for a handful of gearsets so they could lose money.
