Wiper Arms

Looking fori information on how to remove wiper arm. Need to replace left side. Also, can any one recommend best place to buy new one?

Seth, Most 66 corvettes had brushed stainless steel wiper arms not the shiny like the 65 arms. Some early cars could have had bright finish arms, maybe one of our experienced judges could help with a date As for removing, with out the proper tool get a small block of wood and gently pry up with screw driver around the circumference. I would suggest buying the tool. Hope this helps

A tool is available or you can make one. It is basically an L shapped tool

with a lip on the bottom edge. It shoul hook under the bottom edge of the arm. Then squeze the arm against the longer handle. This will take all pressure off the arm and allow you to lift it off the post. I bought mine at a local parts store.

Seth, If you vehicle Vin # is prior to 12000 than you should have bright arms after that the arms should be dull. Chuck
